Alright, this is the first post on here. Or should I say "the first textfile"?
Gopher sure is a strange way to publish something on the Net. Now I'm typing
this in the GNU nano editor, on a remote server via ssh. Only ever used nano
to edit config files (rather infrequently). Never really used ssh before. All
in all, this is definitely a new experience. Let's see if it becomes a habit
over time.
I usually get distracted while trying to study on my laptop (with
access to the Internet). Today I tried to write stuff without even turning it
on, with just a pen and paper. Of course, it was necessary to look up some
papers and other info, but I put it off until I had ideas and structure. Then
the danger of getting distracted has already passed. Having to type it in all
over again was annoying, but on the balance some time was definitely saved.
Doing something productive in the morning before going online might be the way
to go. Unless I start sneakily reading books while doing my homework, like I
used to do as a kid :D distraction is really hard to avoid altogether (sighs).
So I guess that's all for today, hope I get around to writing something else soon
(maybe).
