Helping users
=============
I just released v4.2 of my Brutal watchface for Pebble smartwatch [1].
Update adds settings for controlling how seconds counter is updated.
It's common in Pebble watchfaces to avoid showing seconds and do time
update only each minute. This makes huge difference for battery life.
Brutal had a trick for that. You could display seconds optionally and
then when you shake your wrist watchface will update each second but
only for 5 seconds. This was fine for most users.
Healthcare
----------
Today I found Reddit post [2] in which user talks about real life use
case for seconds counter when working in healthcare. And my 5 seconds
update was not good enough. It's interesting that such obscure piece
of software like open source watchface for almost dead smartwatch can
affect someones performance in healthcare. Such responsibility.
In v4.2 I added possibility to disable seconds, enable seconds or to
update seconds for selected amount of time (5s, 10s, 15s ...) after
whist shake. This should satisfy all users.
It feels good to help users of your software. Version 4.1 and v3.1
was also a direct reaction to user feedback or request.
