MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

     Title: Nutmeg Sauce

     Yield: 4 Servings

 2 1/2 c  Milk
     4 tb Butter
 2 1/2 tb Corn starch; dissolved in
          Water; cold
          Salt
   1/2 ts Grated nutmeg

 Heat 2-1/2 cup milk and 4 tb butter in a saucepan. When almost
 boiling, lower heat. Add 1/2 ts grated nutmeg. Stir in 2-1/2 tb corn
 starch dissolved in a little cold water. Stir constantly until corn
 starch thickens the milk. Add salt.

 Goes well with steamed cauliflower, sautéed cabbage, and sweet root
 vegetables such as sunchokes, sweet potatoes, and parsnips.
