     Title: Soup-Er Snack Mix

     Yield: 8 Servings

   1/3 c  Popcorn; unpopped
   3/4 c  Brown sugar
   1/3 c  Butter
     3 tb Light corn syrup
   1/4 ts Baking soda
   1/4 ts Vanilla
     2 c  Pecans

 Pop the corn, removing the unpopped kernels.

 Butter a large baking pan and spread the popcorn in the pan.

 Sprinkle the nuts over the popcorn.

 Put butter in a large saucepan and melt over low heat so butter
 coats pan.

 Add brown sugar and corn syrup and cook to boiling for 4 to
 5 minutes.

 Remove pan from heat and stir in baking soda and vanilla.

 Pour over popcorn and nuts, stirring to coat.

 Bake at 300°F for 10 minutes, stir and bake 10 minutes more.

 Cool completely.
