1. One of the most unpleasant cleaning tasks is getting rid of the
grease and grime that builds up inside your oven. Make a paste of
1 cup vinegar and 1/4 cup powdered laundry detergent. Heat your
oven for 5 minutes at 350°F and turn off. Spread the paste around
the oven, applying it more heavily to very greasy areas. Leave the
paste on for an hour, then use a plastic spatula to gently scrape
the dirt away.
2. To prevent grease, grimy buildup in your oven from happening in
the first place, dip a sponge in full-strength vinegar and wipe
down all sides of the oven.
3. If you've already used a commercial oven cleaner to tackle your
oven, you can remove the smelly residue by spraying the surfaces
with a mixture of equal parts vinegar and water. Wipe dry with a
clean cloth.
