MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

     Title: Blushing Apple Coffeecake

     Yield: 1 Cake

 1 1/4 c  Flour; sifted
     2 tb Sugar
     1 ts Baking powder
   1/2 ts Salt
     5 c  Apples; pared, sliced
   1/2 c  Butter
     1    Egg
     1 tb Milk
     3 oz Pkg strawberry gelatin

     1 c  Flour; sifted
   1/2 c  Butter
     1 c  Sugar

 Mix and sift flour, 1 tb sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cream
 butter; add sifted ingredients and mix. Combine slightly beaten egg
 and milk and add to the butter mixture; mix. Press mixture on bottom
 of a greased coffeecake pan (11 x 7 x 1-1/2"). Press apple slices
 into dough so they overlap. Mix remaining sugar and gelatin and
 sprinkle over apples.

 Topping:

 Mix flour and sugar; cut in butter until coarse crumbs are formed.

 Sprinkle above cake mixture with topping and bake in a 350°F oven for
 about 55 minutes.
