MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05

     Title: Oklahoma Beans and Spareribs
Categories: American, Main dish
     Yield: 6 Servings

     1 lb Dried pinto beans; wash
          - well drained
     3 lb Fresh pork spareribs
          Salt; to taste
          Pepper; to taste
          Chili powder; to taste
     2 lg Green bell peppers; cut
          - into quarters
     2 lg Onions; sliced
 3 1/2 c  Canned tomatoes

 Cover beans with cold water, bring to a boil and boil for 2 minutes.
 Cover pan and let stand for 1 hour. Do not drain.

 Meanwhile cut spareribs into serving pieces. Brown lightly in heavy
 skillet.

 Cover with water. Simmer covered until tender.

 Drain beans and pour into roasting pan. Arrange on top of beans. Add
 water in which spareribs were cooked. Season with salt, pepper, and
 chili powder. Put peppers and onions on top of pork; pour tomatoes
 over all.

 Cover and bake in preheated 325°F oven for 1-1/2 hours.
