MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

     Title: Brown Rice Delight

     Yield: 4 Servings

     1 c  Brown rice
     1 c  Jaggery
     2 tb Cashews
     1 tb Raisins
     6    Green cardamom pods; crushed
     4 tb Ghee
 2 1/2 c  Water

 Dissolve jaggery in 1 cup of water, strain, and set aside. Heat 1 tb
 ghee in pressure cooker, add rice, and sauté for a few minutes. Stir
 in 1-1/2 cup water, cover, and bring to full pressure. Reduce heat
 and cook for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool before
 uncovering. Add dissolved sugar mixture and 2 tb ghee. Return to heat
 and keep stirring until all water is absorbed. Sauté cashews and
 raisins separately in remaining 1 tb ghee and add to rice mixture.
 Add crushed cardamom, mix, and serve.
