MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

     Title: Blend Of The Bayou

     Yield: 8 Servings

     8 oz Cream cheese; in cubes
     4 tb Butter; divided
     1 lg Onion; chopped
     2    Celery ribs; chopped
     1 lg Bell pepper; chopped
     1 lb Cooked U-40 shrimp; peeled,
          - deveined
    12 oz Crab meat (2 cans); drained,
          - flaked, cartilage removed
10 3/4 oz Can cream of mushroom soup;
          - undiluted
   3/4 c  Cooked rice
 4 1/2 oz Jar sliced mushrooms;
          - drained
     1 ts Garlic salt
   3/4 ts Hot pepper sauce
   1/2 ts Cayenne pepper
   3/4 c  Cheddar cheese; shredded
   1/2 c  Butter-flavored crackers
          - (12 Ritz); crushed
          Green onions; thin sliced
          - (optional)

 Set oven @ 350°F/175°C.

 In a saucepan, cook and stir cream cheese and 2 tb butter over low
 heat until melted and smooth.

 In a large cast-iron or other ovenproof skillet, saute onion,
 celery, and green pepper in remaining butter until tender. Stir in
 shrimp, crab, soup, rice, mushrooms, garlic salt, pepper sauce,
 cayenne, and cream cheese mixture.

 Combine Cheddar cheese and cracker crumbs; sprinkle over top. Bake,
 uncovered, for 25 to 30 minutes or until bubbly. If desired,
 garnish with green onions before serving.
