     Title: Coconut-Chocolate Cookie Pizza

     Yield: 16 servings

   3/4 c  Butter or margarine
   3/4 c  Sugar
   1/2 c  Unsweetened cocoa powder
   1/4 ts Baking powder
     1    Egg yolk
     1 ts Vanilla
     1 c  All-purpose flour
     1    Egg
     5 oz Evaporated milk (2/3 cup)
   1/2 c  Sugar
     2 tb Butter or margarine
     1 c  Flake coconut
   1/2 c  Pecans; chopped
          Chocolate curls; optional

     Beat the 3/4 butter or margarine in a large mixing bowl with an
 electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds. Add the 3/4 cup
 sugar, cocoa powder, and baking soda till combined. Beat in egg yolk and
 vanilla till combined. Beat in as much of the flour as you can with the
 mixer. Stir in any remaining flour with a wooden spoon.

     Spread dough in a lightly greased 12-inch pizza pan. Bake in a 350°F
 oven about 20 minutes or till   golden.

     Meanwhile, beat the 1 egg slightly in a medium; saucepan. Stir in
 evaporated milk, the 1/2 cup sugar, and the 2 tablespoons butter or
 margarine.  Cook and stir over medium heat till thickened and mixture just
 comes to boiling. Remove from heat and stir in coconut and pecans. Spread
 over crust.  Bake 5 minutes more.

   Cool in pan on a wire rack. If desired, garnish with chocolate curs. Cut
 into wedges to serve.

 Makes 12 to 16 servings.
