MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

     Title: Cran-Apple Cobbler

     Yield: 8 Servings

 2 1/2 c  Apples; peeled, sliced
 2 1/2 c  Firm pears; peeled, sliced
 1 1/4 c  Sugar
     1 c  Fresh or frozen cranberries;
          - thawed
   1/2 c  Water
     3 tb Quick-cooking tapioca
     3 tb Red Hots
   1/2 ts Ground cinnamon
     2 tb Butter

   3/4 c  A-P flour
     2 tb Sugar
     1 ts Baking powder
   1/4 ts Salt
   1/4 c  Butter; cold, in cubes
     3 tb Milk
          Vanilla ice cream

 In a large cast-iron or other ovenproof skillet, combine the first
 eight ingredients; let stand for 5 minutes. Cook and stir over
 medium heat until mixture comes to a full rolling boil, about
 18 minutes. Dot with butter.

 In a small bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
 Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in milk
 until a soft dough forms.

 Drop topping by heaping tablespoons onto hot fruit. Bake @
 375°F/190°C until golden brown, 30-35 minutes. Serve warm with ice
 cream.
