Base:
1/2 c Margarine
1 oz Unsweetened chocolate
1 c Sugar
1 c Flour
1 ts Baking powder
1 ts Vanilla
2 Eggs
1/2 c Nuts -- chopped (optional)
Filling:
6 oz Cream cheese
1/2 c Sugar
2 tb Flour
1/4 c Margarine -- softened
1 Egg
1 ts Vanilla
6 oz Semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 c Mini-marshmallows
Frosting:
1/4 c Margarine
1 oz Unsweetened chocolate
1/4 c Milk
1 lb Powdered sugar
1 t Vanilla
2 oz Cream cheese
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Base:
Grease and flour a 9x13" pan. In a large pan, melt the margarine
and chocolate. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Spread in
the pan.
Filling:
In a small bowl combine the cream cheese with remaining ingredients
except for the chips. Blend until smooth and fluffy. Spread over
chocolate mixture and sprinkle with chips. Bake 25-35 minutes and
test with a toothpick. Remove, sprinkle with marshmallows and bake
2 minutes more.
Frosting:
In a small pan, melt the margarine, chocolate, and milk. Beat in
cream cheese and powdered sugar with an electric mixer until
smooth. Immediately pour over marshmallow layer and swirl together.
