MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

     Title: Mom-Mom Bessie's Coconut Molasses Pie

     Yield: 6 servings

     1 c  Light brown sugar; packed
     1 c  Sour cream
   1/2 c  Dark corn syrup
   1/2 c  Dark molasses
     2 lg Eggs; lightly beaten
   1/4 c  Milk
     2 tb A-P flour
   1/4 ts Baking soda
 1 1/2 c  Sweetened shredded coconut
     1    Frozen deep-dish pie crust
          - (9")
          Whipped cream (optional)

 Set oven @ 350°F/175°C.

 In a large bowl, combine the first 8 ingredients. Stir in coconut.
 Pour into crust; cover edge loosely with foil. Bake until center is
 set, 45-55 minutes. Remove foil; cool on a wire rack. If desired,
 serve with whipped cream.
