Title: Apple-Praline Pie

1 Double pie crust (9")
Filling:
6 c Apples; peeled & sliced thin
3/4 c Sugar
1/4 c Flour
1 ts Cinnamon
1/4 ts Salt
2 tb Butter
Topping:
1/4 c Butter
1/2 c Brown sugar; packed firmly
2 tb Half-and-half
1/2 c Pecans; chopped
Prepare pie crusts for a 2-crust pie. Heat oven to 350°F. In a
large bowl, combine apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt; toss
lightly. Spoon into crust lined pan. Dot with butter. Top with
second crust and flute the edges; cut slits in several places. Bake
at 350°F for 50-55 minutes, or until apples are tender and crust is
golden brown. Remove from oven.
Topping:
In a small saucepan melt the butter, stir in brown sugar and
half-and-half. Slowly bring to a boil; remove from heat. Stir in
pecans. Spread over the top of the pie. Place pie obn a baking
sheet and return to 350°F oven; bake an additional 5 minutes or
until topping bubbles. Cool at least 1 hour before serving.
