MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

     Title: Cherry Cream Cheese Pie

     Yield: 8 Servings

   3/4 c  A-P flour
     3 tb Sugar
   1/4 ts Salt
   1/4 c  Butter; softened
    21 oz Can cherry pie filling
     8 oz Cream cheese; softened
   1/3 c  Sugar
     1 lg Egg; room temperature
     1 ts Vanilla extract

 Set oven @ 350°F/175°C.

 In a small bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Add butter; stir
 until combined. Press onto the bottom and up the side of a 9" pie
 plate. Bake until lightly browned, 10 to 12 minutes. Pour pie
 filling into crust.

 In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, remaining 1/3 cup sugar, egg,
 and vanilla until smooth. Carefully spread around outside edges of
 pie, leaving a 3" circle of cherries exposed in the center.

 Bake until edge begins to brown, 30 to 35 minutes. Cool on a wire
 rack. Refrigerate pie for several hours before serving.
