     Title: Tea Cookies

     Yield: 30 Cookies

     1 c  Butter; softened
   1/2 c  Powdered sugar
 1 1/2 ts Vanilla extract
     2 c  All-purpose flour
     1 ds Salt
     1 ds Baking powder
   3/4 c  Pecans; finely chopped
          Powdered sugar; for dusting

 In a bowl, beat together butter and powdered sugar until smooth and
 creamy.

 Add vanilla.

 Blend together flour salt, salt, and baking powder (just a dash).

 Add flour mixture to butter mixture, blending well.

 Add chopped nuts, combining well.

 Roll dough into two balls. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill for at
 least 1 hour in refrigerator.

 Flatten dough out and cut into 15 to 16 equal size pieces.

 Shape into small marble-sized balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheets.

 Bake at 375 to 400°F for 10 to 12 minutes each sheet until firm but
 not brown.

 While still warm, roll into powdered sugar or dust with powdered
 sugar.

 Let cool. Roll again in powdered sugar.
