1 c Butter
1 c White sugar
1 c Vegetable oil
1 c Powdered sugar
2 Eggs
1 ts Vanilla
4 1/2 c All-purpose flour
1 ts Baking soda
1 ts Cream of tartar
1 ts Salt
Cream butter and white sugar. Beat in oil and powdered sugar until
smooth. Add eggs and vanilla and beat well. Mix flour, soda, cream of
tartar, and salt together and stir into mix. Drop by teaspoonfuls
onto ungreased baking sheet. Flatten cookies to 1/4" thick with glass
bottom dipped in sugar. Bake in 350°F oven 8 to 10 minutes until
lightly browned around edges.
