Title: Sugar Cookies/state Fair of Texas

Yield: 3 servings
1 c Sugar
1 c Butter or shortening
1 Egg
2 c Flour
1/2 ts Salt
1 ts Baking powder
1 ts Vanilla
1 ts Butter flavoring
Blend butter and sugar. Add egg and beat well. Add dry ingredients and
blend well. Roll into 1" rolls and place in waxed paper, chill in
refrigerator until firm. Slice into 1/2" slices. Sprinkle top with sugar
and a dash of nutmeg. Bake at 350°F for 10-12 min.
