                          Crunchy Almond Bars

 30                    Graham crackers
  2       c            Almonds -- sliced
  1       c            Butter
  1       c            Brown sugar -- packed

 Preheat oven to 375°F. Line 15x10" rimmed baking sheet with graham
 wafers in a single layer. There should be no gaps on the baking
 sheet. Sprinkle 1 cup almonds over graham crackers.

 Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar.
 Bring to a boil; reduce heat to medium-low and cook, stirring about
 3 minutes. Do not cook longer or syrup will become harder. Pour
 over wafers, spread evenly. Sprinkle remaining almonds on top.

 Bake in preheated 375°F oven for about 8 minutes or until bubbly
 all over. Place baking sheet on wire rack. Cool 5 minutes. Cut into
 bars. Transfer to a wire rack, cool completely.

 Yield: 48 Bars
