MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

     Title: Farmer's Market Cobbler
Categories: Pies, Pastry, Fruits
     Yield: 6 Servings

   1/2 c  Butter
   3/4 c  Flour
 1 1/2 c  Sugar; divided use
     1 ts Baking powder; heaping
   1/2 ts Salt
   2/3 c  Milk
     1 qt Fruit; blueberries, peaches,
          - apricots, blackberries,
          - pears or apples

 Set oven @ 400°F/205°C.

 Melt the butter in a 2 qt baking dish.

 Combine the dry ingredients, reserving 1/2 cup sugar. Stir into
 melted butter in the baking dish. Add the milk and stir again.

 Bring the fruit and 1/2 cup of sugar to a boil. As soon as it
 boils, remove from the heat and pour over the batter. Don't stir.

 Bake at 400°F/205°C for 30 minutes.
