Filling:
1/2 c Sugar
4 ts Corn starch
1/2 c Water or juice from fruit/berries
4 c Fruit/berries
Topping:
1 c Flour
1/2 c Sugar
1 1/2 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 c Milk
1/4 c Butter -- softened
2 tb Sugar
1/4 ts Nutmeg
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Filling:
Combine in saucepan sugar and corn starch. Add water and blend well.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until it thickens. Add
lemon juice and fruit/berries. Turn into baking dish and add topping,
below.
Topping:
Sift first 4 ingredients into mixing bowl. Add milk and butter and
beat until smooth. Spoon or pour over filling in baking dish.
Sprinkle with mixture of sugar and nutmeg.
