     Title: CARAMEL BANANA NUT LOAVES

     Yield: 2 Loaves

     1 pk Banana cake mix
     4 oz Banana cream instant pudding
     4    Eggs
     1 c  Bananas, mashed (about 2)
   1/2 c  Water
   1/3 c  Vegetable oil
     1 c  Toasted chopped walnuts

          CARAMEL FROSTING

   1/4 c  Butter or margarine
     2 tb Brown sugar, dark
     1 ts Water
     1 pk Vanilla layer cake frosting
          Walnut halves for garnish

 1.  Preheat oven to 350°.  Grease and flour two 9x5x3 inch loaf pans.

 2.  For cake, combine cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, mashed bananas, 1/2 cup
 water and oil in large bowl. Beat at medium speed with electric mixer for 2
 minutes.  Stir in chopped walnuts.  Pour into pans. Bake at 350° for 50-55
 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pans
 15 minutes. Loosen loaves from pans. Invert onto cooling racks. Turn right
 side up.  Cool completely.

 3.  For caramel frosting, place butter, brown sugar and 1 teaspoon water in
 small saucepan.  Bring to a boil on medium heat; boil1 minute, stirring
 constantly.  Place vanilla frosting in medium bowl. Stir in caramel mixture
 until thoroughly blended. Frost sides and tops of loaves.

 Garnish with walnut halves.
