   3/4 c  Butter; softened
     1 c  Sugar
     3 lg Eggs
     2 oz Unsweetened chocolate;
          - melted, cooled
     1 ts Vanilla
 1 1/4 c  Unbleached flour
   1/2 ts Baking powder
   1/2 c  Nuts; chopped
   1/4 ts Salt

 Cream butter and sugar; beat in eggs. Blend in chocolate and
 vanilla. Stir flour with baking powder and salt. Add to creamed
 mixture; mix well. Stir in nuts. Spread in greased 9x9x2" baking
 pan. Bake at 350°F for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool. If desired, sift
 powdered sugar over top. Cut into bars.
