                        Apricot Chocolate Bread

  9      oz            Dried apricots -- cut up
    3/4  c             Sugar
  1      c             Milk
    1/3  c             Vegetable oil
  2                    Eggs
  2 1/2  c             Flour
    1/2  c             Cocoa
  1      ts            Baking soda
    1/2  ts            Baking powder
    1/2  c             Pecans -- chopped

Mix first 5 ingredients in a large bowl. Stir in the rest until just
moistened. Pour into greased loaf pan and bake for 50 to 60 minutes
in a pre-heated 350°F oven. Cool for 10 minutes and remove from pan.
