MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

     Title: Steamed Seitan
Categories: Vegetarian
     Yield: 1 Batch

 1 1/2 c  Vital wheat gluten
     3 tb Chickpea flour
     2 ts Onion powder
     2 ts Garlic powder
     2 ts Sage
     2 ts Ground fennel seeds
     1 ts Smoked paprika
     1 tb Soy sauce
     1 tb Vinegar
     1 tb Worcestershire sauce

 Whisk together dry ingredients.

 Combine wet ingredients in separate 1 c measuring cup and bring full
 up with water.

 Combine wet and dry ingredients into a stiff dough and knead for
 several minutes. Form into 3 patties about 1/2" thick. Let rest for
 20 minutes. Slice into pieces. Steam for 30 minutes, stirring several
 times.
