                           Fresh Tomato Sauce

  4      c             Tomatoes -- peel, seed, dice
  1      md            Onion -- minced
  1 1/2  ts            Basil
  1      ts            Sugar
  6      oz            Can tomato paste
  3      cl            Garlic -- crushed

Combine all ingredients in lightly oiled Crock-Pot. Cover and cook on
Low for 6 to 12 hours or on High for 4 hours. If a thicker sauce is
desired, remove cover and cook on High until sauce is reduced.

This is good used in any recipe calling for tomato sauce.

Yield: 5 cups

Double recipe for 5 qt Crock-Pot.
