2 cl Garlic -- minced
1/2 c Water -- hot
1 ts Sugar
1/8 ts Red pepper flakes
1/4 c Olive oil
1 ts Salt
1 ts Dried basil -- crumbled
13 oz Can tomato puree
1 ts Dried oregano -- crumbled
Microwave garlic in oil in uncovered, microwave safe 2 qt casserole
dish on high 2 minutes until golden. Add tomato puree, hot water,
salt, sugar, basil, oragano, and red pepper flakes. Cover with wax
paper and microwave on high 7 to 8 minutes, stirring at half time,
until bubbly. Stir again. Re-cover and microwave on medium 9 to 10
minutes, stirring at half time, until flavors mellow. Adjust salt as
needed and serve.
