                         SAVORY SPAGHETTI SAUCE

  1      large         Onion -- chopped
  2      15 oz. cans   tomato sauce
  1      Cl            Garlic -- minced
  1                    Bay leaf
  1      tablespoon    Fresh basil
  2      teaspoons     Fresh oregano
  2      teaspoons     Sugar
    1/2  teaspoon      Salt
    1/2  teaspoon      Pepper
                       Hot cooked spaghetti

Recipe by: Sue Klapper In a Dutch oven, cook gorund beef and onion until meat is browned and onion is tender; drain. Add the next 8 ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.  Remove the bay leaf. Serve over spaghetti. From Taste of Home Magazine.
