    1/2  Teaspoon      salt
    1/2  Teaspoon      dried thyme
    1/4  Cup           honey
    1/4  Cup           cider vinegar
    3/4  Cup           chicken broth -- or water

    1/4  Cup           drained and halved maraschino cherries -- optional

Combine cornstarch, salt and thyme in small saucepan; mix
well. Combine honey, vinegar and broth; mix well. Stir
honey mixture into cornstarch mixture; cook and stir
until mixture boils and thickens. Add drained fruits;
heat and stir gently about 2 minutes or until thoroughly
heated.

Makes 4 servings.

Serving tip: Serve sauce over roasted sliced chicken.

Honey tip: Don't be tempted to keep it in the
refrigerator. Store at room temperature. If honey
crystallizes, remove the lid and place jar in warm water
until crystals dissolve, stirring every 30 seconds.

Honey has about 64 calories per tablespoon with a small
amount of vitamins and minerals.
