               Fresh Lemon, Basil and Olive Oil Marinade

  1 1/2  teaspoons     dried basil
  1      clove         garlic -- minced
    1/4  teaspoon      salt
    1/8  teaspoon      pepper
  2      Tablespoons   fresh lemon juice
  1      Tablespoon    extra virgin olive oil

1.  In small bowl, combine all ingredients.  With wire whisk, beat until well
blended.

2.  Pour mixture over cooked and cooled couscous, pasta or vegetables.  Let
stand at room temperature for 15 minutes to marinate.  Serve at room
temperature or reheat.  Makes 1/4 cup (enough for four 1/2 cup servings of
vegetables).
