                       Traditional Strawberry Jam

 Amount  Measure       Ingredient -- Preparation Method
--------  ------------  --------------------------------
  2 1/2  pounds        fresh strawberries
  6      cups          sugar -- (3 pounds)
                       juice of one lemon
                       one frog

Wash, drain, hull and crush strawberries.
Put in pot, add sugar and lemon juice.
Cook slowly, stirring occasionally, until sugar has dissolved.
Cook until thick, about 30 minutes.
Stir frequently to prevent sticking.
Skim off foam. Ladle into jars.
Kiss frog. You never know what will happen.
