MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

     Title: Butter Dips (Crackers)
Categories: Snacks
     Yield: 1 Batch

   1/2 c  Butter
     2 ts Sugar
 1 1/2 ts Salt
 2 1/4 c  Flour; sifted
 3 1/2 ts Baking powder
     1 c  Milk

 Melt the butter in a 12x9" baking pan and let cool. Sift the dry
 ingredients and sift a second time into a bowl with the milk. Stir
 this slowly with a fork--about 30 strokes--turn out into a well
 floured board or use two sheets of waxed paper on a table. Knead the
 mixture 10 times and roll out to 1/2" thickness. Cut into strips 4"
 long and 1/2" wide. Dip the pieces in the butter and bake in same pan
 for 15 to 20 minutes at 450 F.
