2 Poppers of corn -OR-
2/3 c Unpopped corn
1/2 c Molasses or honey
2/3 c Sugar
1/2 c Corn syrup
1/4 ts Soda
1/4 ts Salt
1 tb Oil or butter
Variation:
1/2 c Honey
2 c Sugar
1/4 c Condensed milk
1/2 c Maple hot syrup
Butter
Boil sugar and corn syrup to hard ball stage. Add salt, soda, and oil
or butter. Mix over corn well and put all in oven at 350 to 375 F for
about 15 minutes or until crisp. Watch and stir. Remove from pan and
put on plate or such and break up when cool.
Variation:
Boil honey, sugar, milk, maple syrup, and butter until hard ball
stage and pour over popcorn and mix. Burnt sugar adds flavor.
