                              Hot Beef Dip

  1      pound         ground beef
    2/3  cup           onion -- chopped
    1/2  cup           green pepper -- chopped
  3      cloves        garlic -- minced
  1      can           tomato sauce -- 8 ounces
    1/4  cup           ketchup
  1      teaspoon      sugar
    3/4  teaspoon      dried oregano
    1/4  teaspoon      pepper
  1      package       cream cheese -- softened, 8 oz.
    1/4  cup           parmesan cheese -- grated
                       tortilla chips

In a large skillet, cook beef, onion, green pepper and garlic until meat is browned.  Add the tomato sauce, ketchup, sugar, oregano, and pepper; simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in cheeses until melted. Transfer to a fondue pot or chafing dish; serve warm with tortilla chips.   Source:  Taste of Home Magazine: June/July
