16 oz Mozzarella cheese;
- sliced 1/4"
1/2 c Flour
2 Eggs; slightly beaten
1 c Herbed, seasoned bread
- crumbs
Olive oil
10 1/2 oz Can pizza sauce
2 oz Can flat anchovies or
- miso paste
Dip cheese into egg, flour, and back into egg. Moisten all surfaces.
Pack bread crumbs against cheese and place on a plate in a freezer
for 20 minutes. Pour 1/2" oil in a frying pan. When very hot, add
cold cheese slices and brown both sides crisp. Drain on paper towel.
To serve, top with warmed sauce and an anchovy strip or 1/2 ts miso.
