Amount  Measure       Ingredient -- Preparation Method
--------  ------------  --------------------------------
    1/2  cup           butter -- softened
    1/4  cup           favorite barbecue sauce
1      8 oz pkg      cream cheese -- softened
1/2  cup           cooked bacon (8-10 strips) -- finely chopped
3      slices        pullman loaf white or egg bread* -- cut 1/2" thick

*A pullman loaf is a whole, unsliced loaf of bread.  Slice horizontally to
obtain long, rectangular slices.

Combine softened butter with barbecue sauce and whip in a blender; set
aside.

Blend thoroughly cream cheese and bacon.

Trim the crusts from the bread.  Flatten slightly with a rolling pin.
Spread a thin, even layer of the butter mixture on the bread slices.  Next
spread approximately 1 cup of the cream cheese-bacon mixture on the bread.
Cut the bread slices in half crosswise.  Roll the bread gently, jellyroll
fashion.  Wrap the rolls in foil and freeze for a minimum of 2 hours.  Cut
the rolls into 1/2-inch-wide slices.  Thaw, arrange on a platter and serve
chilled.  Makes 36.
