3 lb Ground chuck
3 sm Onions -- diced
3 cl Garlic -- stuck on wooden picks
3/4 c Green pepper -- diced
1/2 c Olive oil
3 c Canned tomatoes
24 oz Tomato sauce
3 tb Vinegar
1 tb Sugar
1 tb Salt
4 Bay leaves
3 tb Capers
3/4 ts Oregano
1 1/2 c Raisins
Saute ground chuck, onions, garlic, and green pepper in olive oil
until brown. Remove garlic and add tomatoes, tomato sauce, vinegar,
sugar, salt, bay leaves, capers, oregano, and raisins. Chill quickly
and freeze in portions suitable for your family.
To Serve:
Defrost, simmer 30 minutes in covered pot. Serve with spaghetti.
