     Title: Chipotle Chile Sloppy Joes
Categories: Beef, Vegetables, Chilies, Breads
     Yield: 6 Servings

     1 lb Lean ground beef
1 c  Sweet onion; fine chopped
1/2 c  Bell pepper; fine chopped
     1    Jalapeno; seeded, fine
          - chopped
   1/2 c  Chili sauce
   1/2 c  Water
     2    Chipotles in adobo; fine
          - chopped
     1 tb Brown sugar; packed
     1 ts Yellow mustard
     6    Kaiser rolls or hamburger
          - buns; split
     2 tb Butter; softened
          Pickle slices (optional)

Heat broiler. In a large skillet, cook beef, onion, bell pepper
and, if desired, jalapeno over medium heat until beef is no longer
pink, breaking up beef into crumbles, 5 to 7 minutes; drain.

Stir in chili sauce, water, chipotle peppers, brown sugar, and
mustard; bring to a boil. Simmer, uncovered, until slightly
thickened, 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Lightly spread cut sides of rolls with butter; arrange on a baking
sheet, buttered side up. Broil 3 to 4" from heat until lightly
toasted, about 30 seconds. Fill with beef mixture and, if desired,
 pickles.
