12 Lasagna noodles
4 c Mozzarella cheese; shredded
14 oz Spaghetti or pizza sauce
3 1/2 oz Pepperoni slices
1 md Onion; diced
1 md Green pepper; diced
1/2 c Parmesan cheese; grated
2 tb Italian spices; your choice
Heat Oven to 400 F. Cook lasagna noodles according to package
directions. Rinse with hot water, drain.
In greased 13x9" pan arrange 6 noodles lengthwise to cover bottom
of pan. Sprinkle noodles evenly with 2 cup Mozzarella cheese. Cover
with remaining noodles; trim edges to fit pan.
Spread sauce over noodles. Top with remaining cheese and
vegetables and spices. Bake for 10 minutes, remove from oven and
sprinkle with parmesan cheese, return to oven and bake 15 minutes
longer. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
NOTE: This is a two layer pasta dish that does taste like pizza.
Remember to go somewhat heavy on the spices. Cut with pizza cutter,
serve with small salad.
Could be vegetarian dish, but do not go too heavy on veggies.
