MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

     Title: Hearty Vegetable Beef Ragu

     Yield: 8 servings

     4 c  Uncooked whole wheat spiral
          - pasta
     1 lb 90% lean ground beef
     1 lg Onion; chopped
     3 cl Garlic; minced
    29 oz Italian diced tomatoes;
          - (2 cans); undrained
    24 oz Jar meatless spaghetti
          - sauce
     2 c  Fresh kale; fine chopped
     9 oz Box peas; thawed
   3/4 ts Garlic powder
   1/4 ts Pepper
          Parmesan cheese; grated (optional)

 Cook pasta according to package directions; drain.
 Meanwhile, in a Dutch oven, cook beef, onion and garlic
 over medium heat until meat is no longer pink, 6-8
 minutes, crumbling beef; drain.

 Stir in tomatoes, spaghetti sauce, kale, peas, garlic
 powder and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer,
 uncovered, until kale is tender, 8-10 minutes. Stir
 pasta into sauce. If desired, serve with cheese.
