2 md Onions; finely chopped
1 bn Green onions; finely chopped
1/2 c Butter
1/2 Bell pepper; finely chopped
4 Celery ribs; finely chopped
2 tb Parsley flakes
3 c Shrimp; chopped
3 c Crab meat
2 tb Garlic powder
2 Bay leaves
2 cn Cream of mushroom soup
1 c Evaporated milk
12 oz Sliced American cheese
1 tb Corn starch
Salt & pepper
Saute onions & green onions in butter for 10 minutes. Add bell
pepper, celery, & parsley & simmer until tender, 25 minutes or so.
Add shrimp, garlic powder, & bay leaves. Cook on low fire for
5 minutes. Add mushroom soup & evaporated milk. Bring to a boil.
Stir in cheese. When cheese is melted, add crab meat & bring to a
boil once more. Season with salt & pepper to taste. Add corn starch
dissolved in a little water. Cook to a thick consistency. May be
served in a chafing dish or coquille shells.
