MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

     Title: Milanesa Steak

     Yield: 4 Servings

 1 1/4 ts Salt; divided
   1/2 ts Pepper
   1/4 ts Garlic powder
   1/4 ts Onion powder
     4    Beef top round steaks
          - (4 oz ea); 1/4" thick
     1 c  Dry bread crumbs
   1/3 c  A-P flour
     2 lg Eggs; beaten
          Oil; for deep-fat frying
     4    Lemon wedges

 In a small bowl, combine 1 ts salt, pepper, garlic powder, and
 onion powder. Sprinkle half of the seasoning mixture on each sides
 of steaks. Combine the remaining seasoning mixture and breadcrumbs
 in a shallow bowl. Place flour and egg in separate shallow bowls.

 Dip steaks in flour to coat both sides; shake off excess. Dip in
 egg, then in crumb mixture, patting to help coating adhere.

 In a deep skillet, heat 1/2" of oil to 375 F/190 C. Fry steaks, a
 few at a time, until golden brown, 3 to 4 minutes on each side.
 Drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 ts salt, serve
 with lemon wedges.
