     Title: Cranberry Short Ribs

     Yield: 2 servings

 1 1/2 lb Bone-in beef short ribs
   1/2 ts Salt; divided
   1/4 ts Pepper
     1 tb A-P flour
     1 tb Brown sugar
   1/8 ts Ground mustard
       ds Ground cloves
   3/4 c  Water
     2 ts Cider vinegar
   1/2 c  Cranberries
 1 1/2 ts Lemon zest; up to 2 ts, grated
   1/2 ts Browning sauce (optional)

 Set oven @ 350 F/175 C.

 Place ribs in a greased 8" square baking dish; sprinkle with 1/4 ts
 salt and pepper. Bake, covered, until tender, 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 hours.

 In a small saucepan, combine flour, brown sugar, mustard, cloves,
 and remaining salt; gradually whisk in water and vinegar until
 smooth. Stir in cranberries, lemon zest and, if desired, browning
 sauce; bring to a boil. Cook and stir until thickened, about
 2 minutes.

 Drain ribs. Pour cranberry mixture over ribs. Bake, uncovered,
 15 minutes longer.
