1 lb Ground beef
1 tb Olive oil
3/4 c Bermuda onion; chopped
1 ts Salt
1 ds Pepper
1/8 ts Garlic powder
1/8 ts Ground thyme
1/2 sm Bay leaf
1/8 ts Oregano
16 oz Can tomatoes
1 cn Cream of mushroom soup
1 c Minute Rice
6 Stuffed olives; sliced
3 sl American cheese;
- cut in strips
Brown meat in olive oil. Add onion and cook over medium heat until
the onion is tender. Stir in seasonings, tomatoes, soup, and rice.
Add half of the olive slices. Simmer 5 minutes, stirring
occasionally. Spoon into a baking dish and top with the cheese
strips. Heat at 350 F until the cheese is melted. Decorate with
remaining olive slices.
