     Title: Baked Apple French Toast

     Yield: 6 Servings

   1/2 c  Butter
   1/2 c  Brown sugar
     1 tb Water
     3 lg Green apples
     8 x  Eggs
     4 c  Milk
     2 tb Vanilla
     6 sl To 12 slices bread,any type
          Cinnamon

   Preheat oven to 350 .

   Melt butter, add sugar, and water. Slice apples leaving skin on,
and simmer in butter mixture fir 1 to 2 minutes. Pour mixture in
bottom of 13x9x2" pan and let cool.

   Beat together eggs, milk and vanilla. Slice bread in halves and
lay over apples to cover whole dish. Pour egg mixture over all,
making sure all the bread is wet. Sprinkle with cinnamon.

   Bake until golden brown and puffy, about 40 to 50 minutes. This
dish may be made the night before and reheated just prior to serving.
