                   Giselle's Acadian Plogues (Ployes)

 Amount  Measure       Ingredient -- Preparation Method

  1       c            White buckwheat flour
  1       c            Regular flour
  4       ts           Baking powder
  1       ts           Salt
  1 1/2   c            Water -- cold
    1/2   c            Water -- boiling

 Mix dry ingredients. Add cold water and let stand for 10 minutes.
 Add boiling water and drop to make thin 6" pancakes on hot griddle,
 400 F. Bake on one side only, until bubbled and firm. Serve on warm
 platter, cover with napkins.
