3 md Sweet potatoes
4 md Apples -- pared and cored
1/2 c Sugar
1/2 ts Salt
3 tb Butter
Cook the sweet potatoes in boiling water until tender; cook, and
skin. Cut the sweet potatoes and apples into slices, place in
alternate layers in a greased baking dish, sprinkle each layer with
sugar and salt, dot with butter, add a little water and bake for 30
to 40 minutes, or until the apples are soft and the top layer is
brown. Serve in the baking dish.
