                         Butternut Squash Puree

  2      Medium        butternut squashes -- peeled, seeded, and
                       cut into pieces about 2 inches
                       Salt
                       Butter -- optional
                       Honey -- optional

Steam butternut squash above boiling water, covered, until tender, about 12
minutes. Puree. Salt lightly. If squash is just right you won't need to add
anything else, but sometimes a small bit of butter and honey are needed. Serve
hot.
