MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

     Title: Shredded Gingered Brussels Sprouts

     Yield: 6 Servings

 5 1/2 c  Fresh Brussels sprouts (1 lb)
     1 tb Olive oil
     1 sm Onion; fine chopped
     1 tb Fresh gingerroot; minced
     1 cl Garlic; minced
   1/2 ts Salt
     2 tb Water
   1/4 ts Pepper

 Trim Brussels sprouts. Cut sprouts lengthwise in half, then cut
 crosswise into thin slices.

 Place a large cast-iron or other heavy skillet over medium-high
 heat. Add Brussels sprouts; cook and stir until sprouts begin to
 brown lightly, 2 to 3 minutes. Add oil and toss to coat. Stir in
 onion, ginger, garlic, and salt. Add water; reduce heat to medium
 and cook, covered, until vegetables are tender, 1 to 2 minutes.
 Stir in pepper.
