MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

     Title: Vleesloze Jachtschotel (Hearty Mashed Potatoes)
Categories: Potatoes, Vegetables
     Yield: 6 Servings

     6 md Potatoes
     6    McIntosh apples -OR-
 1 1/2 c  Applesauce
     2 md Onions
     2 tb Butter
     2 tb Salt

 Peel potatoes, apples, and slice onions. In a 3 to 4 qt pan add enough
 water to cover the potatoes. Add salt and bring to a boil. Simmer and
 cover for 10 minutes. Add onions. If using applesauce, heat
 applesauce when potatoes are almost done. If using fresh apples, add
 apples after potatoes have boiled for 20 minutes. Pour water out of
 potatoes as soon as they are done. Mash all and combine vegetables
 together with butter. Add some milk if softer consistency is desired.
